Proem to Impunity: Genocidal Propaganda, the Imaginary Enemy and Global Marketing of Islamophobia.

“I don’t know, if my friends, will be Indian tomorrow.”

-Student, Jamia Millia Islamia University

(UN-)I-N-VOLVED.

“These infiltrators are like termites on the land of Bengal. They are threats to the security of the nation and they are snatching away the livelihoods of our poor people. The BJP is determined to throw these infiltrators out and we will surely do it.”

-Amit Shah, Indian Minister of Home Affairs

They came in khakis.

We must do more than stand in solidarity, we must act in solidarity. We must disrupt in solidarity. We must endure, sustained action in solidarity, until action and disruption give meaning to standing in solidarity. This is about the constitutional safety of secularist India but in reality, it was never really secularist.

The terrorist RSS backed BJP is demeaning the intelligence of protestors by identifying their actions as politically surrogate pursuits of political opposition from the Congress Party.

This though is bigger than even the terrorist RSS and affiliates of the BJP.

This demand for action is bigger than an ideology or a response to an ideology. It is bigger than responding to saffron terror.

It’s about accountability for the seismic shift in human rights protections, enforcements, norms, to strategic resource neoliberal conflicts, which propelled tidal waves of Islamophobic nuclear nationalistic weapons of state sponsored identity terrorism.

It requires turning the world upside down to turn it right side up.

Rushan Abbas illuminated the program of mass rape of China’s “Pair Up” program targeting Uighur women, during an interview on Australian media.

Rushan continued, “This has been happening for years.”

“We have been saying it for years.”

The Rohingya crisis didn’t start with a response to the crisis targeting the Rohingya. It didn’t start with an uprising by Rohingya militias as so often is peddled.

It had been unfolding for years, before it actualized into genocide. GENOCIDE. Not “ethnic cleansing” that can be reshaped by legalize contortions to be duly identified as approaching genocide, with some room for interpretation–genocide.

We’ve known about. We’ve known about it for a decade.

The element that relates this atrocity of self-determination, the degradation of bodily agency and physical autonomy of Uighur women, to a global regime of brutality targeting Muslims, the advent of hyper-pseudo nativist (settler) nationalism, targeting  Muslims, especially Muslim women, didn’t begin in Myanmar, it didn’t begin with the Uighur.

It didn’t begin in China.

It didn’t commence from the ignored span of Modi’s regime, in which the world turned its back, the media turned its back, to the machinations of targeting Muslims, the rhetoric provoking  the targeting of Muslims, or the actualized violence of targeting Muslims, with rape and lynchings. It didn’t begin with the ignored span of conversation around the Citizenship Amendment Act, when it was a tabled bill, or the National Register of Citizens.

It started with the nanosecond, by nanosecond exchange in mediated consumption of war crimes, crimes against humanity, mass rape, mass disenfranchisement, dislocation, eviction, forced migration, trafficking, disappearances, with absolute impunity to the market judiciary. Where crimes against humanity served a culture of media consumption and personal centering over centering the crimes against humanity, with a personal confrontation with justice.

How did normative impunity and the global span of Islamophobia, transcend geographies to create a culture of impunity to brutalities, that would shock the conscience of retrospect to the most awful lessons of the 20th Century.

The Terrorist War on Humanity, popularly recognized as the Global War on Terrorism, transmuted a resurgence in communicable nativist (settler), misogynistic nationalist racism in translated, transmuted and repeated doctrines of belonging.

In such, the most pliable safeguards and oppositions, or where such opposition within political, judicial and legislative frameworks became overwhelmed,  then depleted of principle and castrated by international global markets, with the aid of custodians supranational institutions misaligned equation based economic structuralism–World Bank, WTO, IMF and for socio-political variables.

It ushered chaos without reproach. Until reproach in and of itself became a market, governed by market variables.

The elements of destructions and failures to prevent or hold accountable war criminals and war crimes, have misaligned to incubate the genocides of the 21st Century.

We cannot speak to Islamophobia, suppositional to Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC), unless we identify it for what it is and how it has been utilized, in conjunction with the War on Terrorism.

Prelude to Genocide.

We cannot talk about Assam without talking about Baghdad. We can’t talk to Tripura without speaking to Kabul.  We cannot speak to Sikkim without speaking to Yemen. We can’t talk about the treatment of  Muslim refugees entering India without talking about Calais-Jungle, Nauru, Manus Island–the graveyards at the bottom of the Mediterranean.

We cannot speak to the Babri Masjd, without speaking to Al-Masjid al-Aqṣa.

We can’t speak to Jammu and Kashmir without speaking to Palestine.

It’s about (re)occupation, extortion of resources, plagiarizing colonial massacres of social dominance in modern manifestations, recalculated through the lens of our times, meaning performed for media to obfuscate accountability for atrocities. The commencing pertinent question, how can you condemn in one place, what you support in another, of facilitate in your own sovereign jurisdiction?

In a war of occupation, an ethnic cleansing effort, toward a genocidal conclusion, that circumvents the globe, we cannot talk about a piece in the mosaic of war crimes without looking holistically and wholly into the gross image of atrocities manifolded in justifications for the targeting of Muslims–the extended impunity for those crimes, without looking at the whole picture.

No one picture gives scope to the extortion of jingoism or nationalisms of supremacy without layering the political power plays and their domestic agendas of exploiting fear, by rallying up and around the flags. We must preface any forward supposition by identifying the role the targeting of women and children in Yemen whose blood filtered into rivers of complicity, and oceans of complacency for global investment in militarism, ushering forced migration, trafficking and wide spread dispossession, then obstruction and prevention of resettlement. We have to commence by acknowledging the extrajudicial murders of drone attacks in Somalia, Pakistan and in Syria were embezzled into the BJP’s opportunism, as was the ethnic cleansing of the Rohingya in Myanmar. We have to point out the concurrent genocides in Central African Republic, against Muslims, which didn’t provoke the global community to even bat an eye. Commencing from the Terrorist War on Humanity, the war of the Global North on the humanity of Muslims, Indigenous people–disproportionately Women and girls, disaffecting communities adjacent in vulnerabilities to Muslims in the politics of identity–meaning the politics of who survives their identity, we can never truly understand how the Chief Murderer of Gujarat became the ally of neoliberal system. In reciprocity to his theatre in the war on Muslims, the exchange for brokering the lands of tribal peoples in violations of multitudes of longstanding accords–at least in name, the primary alliance strategically infused deposits of foreign direct impunity.

Impunity backed by the partnership of sensationalized mediated othering in monetizing  the value of human life, divergently the demonetizing of human beings, in targeting human beings, as global procurements in collateral damage justifying an imbalance of access of and to life.

Collateral in the peripheral division of gendered racial labor, perpetuating the justification for conflict in cycles of domestic politically inflated anxieties, to invoke a spirit of racism, hate, gender dominance, reimagining a perverted historical memory and mirroring the abject violence of colonial histories.

We cannot speak to a capitalistic war, a neoliberal war, a realpolitik war, a Democratic war and a Republican war. A Labour war. A Conservative Party war, without identifying the genesis of complicity and complacency of the subtotal parts that come together to sell the war effort. The global terrorist Wars on Humanity have propagated the profiteering on the fear of Muslims, the fear of a Brown and Black planet resettlement, to serve a jingoistic means to a lucrative ends, in response to the response of war crimes.

Largess deposited in the military industrial complexes, which manifolds into all aspects of upholding an expansive war beyond all borders, protracted without aim, beyond the fear of the “other,” into a fear of all oppressed people, with massive returns for all benefactors.

Islamophobia was and is a blank check in development investment incentives, in which any state with tangible lines of sovereign service to the effort of benefit to the war machine, exchanges boundaries, for the militarized staging of geographic frontiers in exchange for political capital in domestically irregularities, with international impunity, sponsored by mediated complacency, for crimes against humanity.

In so, we recognize this started off as a war that traces roots back to imperialism, the birth of racism and the genocide of Indigenous peoples, universally, reconfigured for modernity. This is an evolution of institutions, to uphold systems, in traditions responding to modern norms. A system that requires the infrastructures the system created, to respond to such crimes against humanity, to perpetuate those crimes, beyond liability, transparency and accountability.

In recognizing such violence, we duly recognize that no one, in any society, has paid a larger price, than Women of the societies at war against the machinery of capitalistic exploitation of their existences. A price siphoned in pain, in blood, in agency, in self-determination, in autonomy, in profiling, in defiance, and upending such weaponization of identity, Muslim Women pay the ultimate charge of existing under the violence of the Islamophobia manufactured by the global Terrorist War on Humanity, the War on Terrorism..

If  injustice moved international markets, UN(involved) men would respond to trends of oppression, the murders, disappearances, famines, rapes, internal displacements, refugees, forced migration, trafficking of persons, political evictions, land grabs, that artificially prop up and inflate (UN)-involved men’s international markets. (UN)-involved men, of complicit nations, would profiteer in dismantling themselves to offset the profiteering of the bloodletting they sponsor in strategic militaristic geopolitical self-interests, inspiring (UN)involved to stand for something, beyond the commercial perception of UN(involved) men posing for something they don’t stand up for, beyond the image of standing up.

A book bound in many pages pillaged from the typesets of colonialisms. First, let us commence in recognizing the resistance to the Citizens Amendment Act in Assam, long before it became the Citizens Amendment Act. Mediated silence to the proclivity bound in the Citizens Amendment Bill, based on who the bill targeted, who would be be dispossessed.

Let us recognize the Tripura resistance. Let us recognize the Tribal communities across the North East India.

Recognize and uphold Indigenous Accords defiled year after year. Promises adjourned. Poverties endured. Resiliences strengthened, industrious noncompliances with protracted injustices-surviving to survive. Let us recognize those buried beneath the fires of injustices who haven’t survived. Let us recognize the targeted communities of Jammu and Kashmir. Let us recognize the university students in protest. The Dalit communities. The community of Women. All of who have lived as disenfranchised citizens, wherever they stand.

Eight-year-old children murdered. Students round up, held incommunicado. Protestors fired upon with live ammunition. Women dragged by their hair. Journalists intimidated. Twenty to twenty-one people dead.

Cutting off the internet isn’t just about obstructing access to media, information and communication, or disruption of organizing, dissent and descent into disruption of society–It’s burning the page from the history book ahead of the prerequisite torching of the book itself. The crime of today, is a superstructure of complacency engineered in the impunity to state terrorism, ethnic cleaning bordering genocide, authored in 2002.

It wasn’t just the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh-sanghis, Shiv Sena, Vishva Hindu Parishad. It wasn’t just the Bharatiya Janata Party, it wasn’t just the Supreme Court of India, the Hindu Nationalists – Bal Thackeray, Ashok Singhal, or even Terrorist, now Prime Minister Modi.

It was the entire international community.

It was again, the never again, again failing humanity from the helms of the Security Council and Secretary General, of this organization–the UN, again.

Waiting on the UN, again.

It took a neoliberal mediated complex, more interested in Indian markets, foreign direct investment pulling Indigenous and Tribal lands out from under Adivasi traditional homes, mass evictions cosigned by the World Bank, the WTO and IMF, to recover the identities and cover UP(s) of the violence done to 1,044 dead, 223 missing, and 2,500 injured, incalculable rapes of Muslim women, to arrive here again, today.

Today, where the same terrorist(s) leaders, the same terrorist(s) organizations, now find themselves as legitimate leaders of a federal government in the majority of a nation–nations–, delegitimatizing the rights of citizenship and the proclamations of special status, to protected classes in inscribing human history, again, in the prefacing acts of one of the most barbaric acts of violence in history.

Here at the threshold of crimes against humanity, ethnic cleansing and genocide, we confront again, the impotence of elite bodies of man to stand up to men, where women are putting their bodies on frontlines to flank the pen from dipping into the blood of a nation and carving out the body politic with impunity.

The first act. UN-UNINVOLVED. The rape of Muslim women, the lynching of Muslim women, the butchering vigilantism-caste-violence, farmers starving to death,  in silence against the of air raids in Raqqa, starvation and disease in the Gulf of Aden, mass murder in the Central African Republic, Somalian Women self-immolating in Australian off-shore concentrations camps,  assassinations of medics on Gaza, Indigenous elected Women extrajudicially murdered, U.S. manufactured femicide from the Northern Triangle to the Indigenous nations of North Dakota.

I stand before you, having bared witness to genocide.

As a child, the acrimonious kaleidoscope of such maelstrom seemed so distant. Until I bared witness with my body. Here we are again, the world community, detached witnesses, bearing the cowardice of the price of complacency through the veneers of cinematic, social mediated and media courage in 220 characters and shares that go as far as acknowledging.

Acknowledging and not acting is worse than not knowing. Not knowing can plead ignorance. Whereas this so-called venerable body of hollowed conventions, protocols, agreements and international laws, is just monitoring in complicity.

An ignorant witness in reflection of its own complicity to complacency in promoting the market forces, investment waves, profiteering from the pilfered charter in principle to values brokering war criminals largess.

Oh, yes, we know this chapter of history–no manuscript has ever been reprinted so frequently, despite being found in contempt of history, so many times.

The only reason it has been able to print off so many duplications and replications funding and running copies, is because these so-called activists, advocates, so-called leaders of civil society, are happier to come here, take a selfie and sell their attestation for social capital–Likes are now as bloody as the most bloodied hands-rather than standing up to this body.

We know this history, as it is burning now from Assam to Tamil Nadu, we know what it prefaces– the descent of nation into madness, prerequisite to an ethnic cleansing, the world already has the water running to wash its hands of the bleeding, as students are being murdered, extrajudicially executed, summarily snuffed out. Disappeared. Held incommunicado.

This is what storyboarding an ethnic cleansing looks like in the new neoliberal hyper-capitalist economic NGO consciousness market of self- righteousness exploits.

You don’t have to look far to see what it looks like. Muslim Indians are the new Muslim Rohingya. Kashmir is Palestine. Tribals and Dalits targeted with the same violence that tribals and oppressed caste communities all over the world pay to settler economic forces upon their communities.

Aboriginal communities. Native nations. Women, LGBTQIA+, Trans, non-binary, third, forth, and every additional gender that challenges the colonial binaries, pays three, four, five–hundreds of times, more in brutalities.

It’s not old. It tares pages from the apartheid the world has turned its back on, our memestream media silences, it reprints its tactics in Jammu and Kashmir, Palestine as it did in the good ol’days of New York Times journalism.

This is what coward men do, they imitate, perpetuate and project the violence of memory and history, onto the future to fill a sense of manhood in the gapping voids of inadequacies, reciprocity for a violent sense of power.

It disgraces the awful legacy of independence movements. Dreams the independence movement generations conferred upon the sacrifices of life, liberty, trajectories for a new social order, that objects to the colonial savages and instead becomes the colonial master, in so exonerating the history of those colonizers.

It objectifies, extorts and racketeers the legacies of brutalities done to Indigenous, Tribals, Clans, and Aboriginal people, manifolding the disenfranchisements, dislocations and liquidations, authoring reenactments of atrocities re-authored and plagiarized from history in political distortions to turn dispossessed against dispossessed.

It reverberates the impunity of propagandizing a government who has failed its people, by making public enemies through diversions, turning communities against communities to offset the lies of political promises not delivered.

It monetizes the political capital extorted from the demonetization of the promises of the girl child, women’s rights, economic rights, the rights of oppressed peoples, land rights, occupational rights, ecological rights, security, safety, access, education, housing, electricity, potable water, equitability.

What it denies in self-determination, autonomy and agency, of the individual, all individuals, it exerts to exact in dominances over the individual.

In tactical self-effacing misogynistic righteousness, it executes the rapist, sequentially before imposing  an all access monopoly pass to sexual harassment, assault and rape.

Yet, India–Trans India, Muslim India, a Women’s India, an Adivasi India, Tribal India, LGBTQ+ India, North, South, Dark and light, Dalit, and stirred India of conscience, are fighting back for India.

They march for India, an idea of India. Social India, Democratic India. Feminist India. Secular India.

Custodians of India they charge in a semblance of democracy deferred against home raids, lathi charges, tear gas, pepper spray, curfews, barricades.

Together, the conscience of India is reflecting the coming of an India, into an image of democracy that defies any deferment in waiting on the lies of men.

Untwisting painful histories from the contortion of modern mendacities.

No genocide can take place without an international consortium of complacency.

Genocides don’t just transpire. Genocides require cold irrational calculated steps. The first step to preventing each subsequent step, in the actualization of genocide, abating the crushing political gravity of history, in the descent into madness, is to not ignore history itself. No history can more blatantly predict the outcome of the contemporary scandal than Prime Minister Modi’s own history. What PM Modi did as CM Modi, the criminality he ignited in Gujarat is indicative of what is transpiring today in India facilitated by the federal government of India, to be applied throughout all of India.

What PM Modi, Shah and the terrorist Hindu Nationalist cadre of the BJP  and its boy scout regimes of the RSS enumerate in the act of disenfranchisement of citizenship, is allegorical of the SS, the Khmer, TNI, the GOC, the list of contempt continues across unmarked graves, the ossified remains of  the killing fields, generations of children’s dreams executed in the tall grass, the women whose bodies demarcate the topography of genocide in the lines of their skin where memories of rape live through every touch.

The CAA and NRC are articles of genocide, bound by a confederacy of Hindu nationalist forces that echoes every textbook precedent in the pinnacle of barbaric crimes against the conscience of humanity, the lessons arranged in concentration camps, extrajudicial and fraudulent tribunals, that preface the dissolving of a nation into madness.

Genocide, the incitement of genocide, its subsequent utilization and weaponization of every human rights violation, shattering every convention and enforcement mechanism and protocol of the so-called international norms regime is being set today by this war criminal but it couldn’t avoid identification for what it is, without ignoring the crimes against humanity that conceived  it in the disparity of accountability, where strategic economic and geopolitical interests supersedes enforcement of norms. In so the constructing polarities of madness, invoking neighbor against neighbor, community against community, to liquidate a population into the sterile enumerations of names that speak to the complacency of principle enfold, unfold, without more than sterile words of condemnation.

After 800,000 Rwandan Tutsis were rounded up and slaughtered, as the (neo)colonial West, the UN Security Council and subsequent human rights and securities/policing mechanisms pulled back their reach, the Responsibility to Protect regime was enacted. Here again, Darfur, Central African Republic, Rohingya, we see that it is not about a recognition of responsibility to protect, but who is charged with the jurisdiction and adjudication of the responsibility.

What activists and advocates, across India are doing is taking ownership of that responsibility, where international bodies and organizations are failing.

India refuses. India resists. Today, in reflection of that India, the India resisting and refusing, we see the obligation, here, to uphold that India in our actions. To build a new world order. Citizens of a common cause. Revoking the passports of patriarchy- of “man”kind and redefining citizenship as the benefit of existence of all kind.oldest so-called democracy, took in lock step with the largest so-called democracy, was taking the so-called terrorist who played a role in the murder and rape of thousands of Gujaratis– women and girls, children, families, innocent people–off a terrorist list, a terrorist list authored by terrorists, an international terrorist list, for the purpose of economic partnership, in turning all of India into Gujarat.
